Still here
As you might have noticed I haven’t blogged anything lately. This mostly due to the fact that I am in the middle of moving into a new place – and my girlfriend moving in as well… So it’s a bit hectic with lots of things to do. And as an optional side-note, I am evaluating a lot of things I used to do, but which I am not doing right now.
I should be able to post a few updates somewhere this week so – no worries!
More on later…

Since it’s been a while – I changed the site’s theme again. I thought it would look nice and it indeed does, but the work is not yet done. It does have added functionality – such as the Twitter posts that I recently made and related posts. I have also enabled the comments again. There

Letting go of the numbers

For a while I was using infometrics to measure my caffeine-intake, my hours of sleep a given day, the amount of sugar I consumed – and even how happy I was on the happiness ratio-scale. Recently as you may know, I was and am in the process of moving into a new place – and
Prolonging battery-life on the HD2

For the last couple of days I have been running around with a program called BandSwitch installed, which disconnects idle mobile internet connections (according to your settings) Doing so can seriously prolong the battery-life on your HD2. So far, I havent’ seen or found any negative side-effects and it does seem to prolong to do

Overhauling the site – again
about 5 months ago - Comments Off
One of the things that I kept bumping into is the exceedingly slow response-times of my website. At times it took over 2 seconds to display a page, which quite frankly is unacceptable. The past few days I have been fiddling with the plugins of the site; installing and uninstalling them. One of the things
SPF-record now in place for MajorAap.com
about 5 months ago - Comments Off
I just finished implementing the SPF-record for the domain MajorAap.com. This means that from now on, it will be harder for spammers and other miscreants to ‘spoof’ the domain MajorAap.com. Keep in mind that this will not eliminate spam, it will just help a bit. A SPF-record is basically an entry that tells mail-servers which

Updating the FaceBook application on the HTC HD2
about 5 months ago - Comments Off
One of the things I noticed on the HD2 as soon as I unpacked it, is the seemingly old version of Facebook that came installed. Mind you, I am running the latest version of the ROM from http://www.htc.com/nl/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=297&act=sd&cat=2. The actual download-page for the ROM upgrade will also tell you how to confirm which version you
