Survived yet another year…

Well, we just passed Christmas – and we managed to live through it yet again :mrgreen:
OK, OK, it’s not as bad as I making it sound right now. But still it’s nice to get past Christmas – even though it’s a great time of the year. Onwards to the new year. 2008 people!
In other news, I am enjoying the days off – well off as in not being in the office. As well, I still have to be on-call (Translate: awake at 9) but it’s OK. I can do a few things I have been putting off for a while – so all in all it works out just great. Right now I am just reconfiguring my NAS-device, as it no longer houses my MP3-collection, which is now on the USB-disk. Should shave off some network-usage :mrgreen:
Anyways, just popped in to say hi – so… Hi! Have a great holiday-season and take care of your loved ones :)

Well, last official working week of the year. It should just be tidying up the place and doing a few last things, and then we can just go home and enjoy the festivities.
But for now, we still got work to do (yes I am taking a short break :mrgreen: ) Anyways, life has been going it’s steady paste – as usual. Had a lot of fun on Sunday while shopping in Amsterdam :mrgreen: . Shopping goooooood…
And of course I wound up buying more then the person that actually wanted to go shopping in the frist place (whoops…) But hey, that shirt – those pants and shoes. I just couldn’t miss out :) Which reminds me, still have to get some christmasy stuff sorted.

Woaaaa, what a weekend this turned out to be. I started off in Amsterdam, then at around 10ish I wound up in Hilversum and partied there – and crashed at a friend. Saturday I rushed off to Den Bosch – did some shopping there and then visited my mom (Hi mom! :cool: ) and lastly, finished by going to a good mate of mine.
We played a few boardgames and I must admit that we had a lot of fun. Then today I had the extreme pleasure of travelling back from Den Bosch to Utrecht via bus, then from Utrecht to Amsterdam by train only to miss the connection to Almere. So finally I wound up at Almere again – and got home at around 4.30 in the afternoon. Mind you – I left home at 7.30ish on Friday. Bwhahahaha, but what a great weekend it was.
In other news I just finished installing Windows XP Professional with all the drivers and updates and again I am overwhelmed how much faster it is then Windows Vista Ultimate. Now I will admit that having installed a new CPU and harddisk does help XP a lot but well, there is a noticable difference. Nevertheless I am quite pleased with Windows Vista, it’s just not for me yet as my games (older games ;) ) are not up to snuff yet for Windows Vista. But hey, it will come.
Well, I am off to enjoy my whiskey and the Skinsuit sessions (drum&bass music) so catch you all laters!

Woaaa… boy am I tired. Not sleeping the much needed hours and doing a lot of work tends to take it’s toll I guess huh?
Anyways, I just finished upgrading the hardware on my other computer. I went from an Intel Pentium D820 to a Core2Duo 6600. I think I will notice that a bit in gaming ;)
I just hope I don’t run into a lot of problems when I install Windows XP Professional now :( Which I probably will… But hey, we will see.
Apart from that I am doing OK. Nothing major going on at the moment I guess but just staying busy. Work is busy as can be, but hey… that is to be expected I guess.
Well I better go install all those updates and what not on the machine :mrgreen:
