Last week…

Well today marks my final week at Byton Software B.V. Last Monday… There are a million things to be done, as usual – and well… we do our best :mrgreen:

Apart from that nothing really major has happened the last couple of days. The regular stuff in regards to cleaning, a bit of gaming and what not else, but again – nothing too major. Just a relaxing moment in life I guess.

Well I just had last Friday and Monday off… which was good. But to say that I have done a lot :oops: Well at least I scored a new notebook (thanks mom! :mrgreen: ) for a few Euro’s. It runs Windows Vista Home Basic, as opposed to the Windows Vista Ultimate on my main machine… :shock: Big difference. No Aero interface?! :mrgreen:

Anyways, other then that – nothing too major to report at the moment. Catch you all later!

Updated the place

Well, as none of you will notice – I have just updating AND fixing up this place to a new release version. Blergh. I always hate doing that. Even as most of the time it’s advocated as low-impact always samething breaks. Most of the time it’s the search-provider – as that is done in the header section. And the ‘some rights reserved’ (see footer) but this time a lot more broke. I wound up with aproximately 16 errors in the XHTML output, which has now been reduced to 6. Admittedly, a few were in posts :oops: but then again those were easily fixed. I will try to follow this up in order to get this reduced to zero ASAP again, but the only browser that is not working completely correctly is Opera… Which just happens to be my browser of choice at home :roll: Then again, FireFox (2.0.0.6) IE7 (Vista) and Gran Paradiso (Beta of FireFox 3) all work just fine.

Mind you, the only thing ‘broken’ in Opera is the browsing of the entries, meaning that the link is not clickable. I will continue delving into this issue untill I find the solution (and post it here, if not delving too much into security issues)

OK, so I made a couple of promises in regards to updating this site more frequently. And euhm, yes I haven’t done much about it as you can see :oops:

One of the reasons is that I recently handed in my resignation at Byton, so I am in the process of looking for a new job. I should have one by the end of this week I think – but I won’t start untill the 3rd of September (due to me having to work out the last month at Byton)

One of the things I have been playing with lately is PortableApps.com which is freeware. I also recommend FreeCommander over at their site.

Anyways, I also recommend the band Minus-Plus. Go check them out!
