3 day weekend coming to a close

Well, today’s the last day of my 3-day weekend… And yes I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I now also realise I’ll have to kick it in high-gear this week. Both at work, as well as at home in order to get everything packed and ready to go.

Fortunately, I think I have arranged most of the things that needed to get sorted out. And that which I can’t or have forgotten can be done in the 2 weeks off following.

It almost feels like a new chapter in my life. And I guess it is… No, it definately is. A new place, a new environment. Not that I have had a bad time here, but I have had some experiences here that I want to close. I also should close the chapter on a few other things.

But let’s not rush into new things too fast. That’s something I learnt ;) We will see how it goes. But I feel confident and strong about it.

Guess I am off to enjoy the remainder of my weekend  So should you! Laters!

Thoughts on a warm Friday-afternoon

It’s been a while since I made a post here, and well even before that last post … In short I haven’t been too active on my site. In my defense; I have been busy with arranging everything for my move to Almere. I am really looking forward to it.

I don’t know whether it’s due to the move, or due to the fact that a lot of things are now coming to an end but I feel better. A lot better.

At work we are also steadily progressing forward. New things to play with and figure out…

Anyways, just thought I’d pop my head round the corner here for a second… so laters!

On track with the move

Moving out is getting closer and closer every day now. I have already started sifting through my things. You know, sorting them into the 3. Take it along, Trash, and WTF?

Fortunately I never completely unpacked here as I already knew I wouldn’t stay for too long. Asides that, this gives me a nice opportunity to throw some stuff away – and perhaps make a few other people happy.

In other news, I am doing OK. I still have a lot on my mind, and even more to do but nothing too major that I can foresee. I am also looking forward to my 2 weeks off after I have moved. Should give me some much needed R&R. Plus then I’ll have some time to get a few other personal items sorted and over with.

Other then that I don’t have a lot to say or tell at this time. Must be the wooziness I have from last night’s partying  But hey, we had a lot of fun!

I have also updated the site again, code-wise. A few other minor changes here and there but again, nothing too major. Anyways, take care all!

Mother’s day

 Happy Mother’s day to all!

Sorry for the lack of updates but I must admit that I had been preoccupied in the personal sense. Hence. Anyway, I have started arranging / planning my move towards Almere. I have decided to get rid of a lot of things that I dragged along with me the last time. Nothing major, but it’s good way to also clean up a lot of other mess.

I also finally yielded and bought myself an umbrella…. And boy is it bad. Clear see-through plastic :) Now imagine a guy wearing all black with that… yes, the other people smirked as well.

Laundry-day again. Did a batch again and some general cleaning as well. Amazing how good you tend to feel after doing that. Over the next few days I plan to do some more cleaning – especially in regards towards moving out. I also updated the cleaning schedule for the house, which now of course excludes me. Which will go in effect after I move out ;)

Other then that I haven’t got much to say on a personal note at this time…. Maybe later.

I have however found a few interesting things along the way on the web. First of which is a Dreamscene for Windows Vista Ultimate – created by the same folks of SilverLight. You can get a copy of the Vista Silverlight Dreamscene by visiting the site. In case you are wondering what SilverLight is; it’s a new format developped by Microsoft. Read more at http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight

I have also found the photographer that made 2 of the photo’s that are used as backgrounds in Windows Vista. He has compiled a few of them togeter (along with the 2 that ARE in Windows) and offered them as a download. Download the Windows Vista Wallpaper Pack now! You know you want it… :)

Last, but definately not least is Start++. It expands the Windows Vista Search capabilities, so that you may use Wikipedia, Google etc. Similar to the Windows Search Deskbar functionality in Windows XP it allows you to define aliases / shortcuts to your favorite tools, sites and programs. Check it out!

Moving up and out, about…

I can announce with ‘some’ joy that I will be moving in the near future to a new room in Almere… It’s going to be a bigger room then the one I am currently living in, and well – it’s just a lot better. I hope/think that there I will get some rest and that sensation of coming home which I am missing here.

In other news; my knee is starting to work as it should again after I had a little mishap last week (ED: I bumped my knee at a TV that was parked on the floor in the dark…) I must admit that I had been limping around like Herr Flick from the TV sitcom Allo Allo. Which I think was strengthened by the fact I was wearing black clothing ;)

Asides that, I also have made a few personal decisions to get things back on track for myself – since I was way to preoccupied with others rather then myself. Nothing major on the outside, big changes on the inside.

I can also admit that I have yet to make it through a single day without changing the bracelet :) But I do think that it’s starting to work – as I think about my comments / thoughts faster in another way. It might just work…

At work things are going OK, keeping busy as always… Servers keeping me busy :)

So all in all, I can say that things are looking up – be it minor in one are or another. I am however very thrilled about my new place. I really look forward to moving into it…
